Finnair returns to Ljubljana Airport with more frequent flights
Finnair is returning to Ljubljana Jože Pučnik Airport following the winter break. Yesterday morning, with a week to go before the 2013 summer timetable comes into effect, we welcomed Finland's flag carrier back to Ljubljana's snow-covered airport.
Finnair will be operating more frequent flights between the Slovenian capital and Helsinki than last year. Initially the service will be available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays, with an additional Friday flight beginning on 19 April. Between the end of June and the beginning of August, flights will also be available on Tuesdays and Thursdays, bringing the total to six flights a week.
The return of this service to Helsinki – the closest European capital to destinations in the Far East – is very welcome, with the Finnish capital an attractive destination for both domestic and foreign business travellers and tourists. Finnair's home airport, Helsinki-Vantaa, is also an excellent starting point for flights between Asia and Europe and is used by many airlines.
